DANISH GOLF TOURISTS VISIT TIGER BEACH

Haiyang: A group of 22 Danish golf lovers made the long trek to visit Tiger Beach Golf Links as part of their explore China golf tour.
In June 2002, the group read about Tiger Beach signing a sister-link agreement with Carnoustie. Bearing in mind the good media reports that Tiger Beach had garnered, the group put the course on their list of must-see courses to visit.
In March 2005, the Danish group's wish became a reality when they visited the course under very cool conditions.
The leader of the group said Danes were very much into golf with the success of native son Thomas Bjorn, the Danish No. 1 who finished runner-up at the 2004 Volvo China Open at Silport. He said Danes also very much admired Scottish links courses and they believed that Tiger Beach is an authentic golf links with its natural look, heavy rough and country characteristics.At Tiger Beach, the group said they felt like they were playing at an ancient European course, while the caddies' considerate service made them feel even more at home. Moreover, the prevalent sea winds and deep bunkers provided the group with both the frustration and happiness that can be experienced on a Scottish links course. They decided to make an arrangement to visit Tiger Beach again in the future.
